Study in the U.S.A. - Southeast (in English) - ISEP Exchange
As an ISEP student, you can build your own program by choosing your courses from a variety of fields. Use the notes for course searching to help you find which courses are available. Georgia Southern University offers coursework at the undergraduate level in nearly 100 different programs of study. Students may take coursework from multiple colleges and departments.
Georgia Southern University is classified as a doctoral/research institution by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. It is a member of the University System of Georgia and the largest and most comprehensive research institution in the central coastal Southeast. The University's hallmark is a superior undergraduate experience emphasizing academic distinction, excellent teaching, research, and student success.
Georgia Southern is known for offering all the benefits of a major university with the personal feel and attention of a much smaller college. Additionally, with an expanding focus on research, Georgia Southern has created a unique niche and is attracting a record number of outstanding students from across the state, region, country, and around the world.
HOUSING
Each apartment has a full kitchen. Cooking utensils will need to be purchased upon arrival. Students can purchase linens in advance and have them shipped to International Programs & Services prior to their arrival.
Linens are not provided but can be rented during the orientation period until students are able to purchase their own.
All students will need to complete a housing application and sign a contract, though no payment will need to be made. This link will be provided upon admission to Georgia Southern. Students will be able to move in on the date their benefits start, which is earlier than the date indicated in the housing contract. Students who are here for one semester will sign a one-year contract and will be released from that contract once their program ends.
Campus housing will remain open during all vacation periods.
MEALS
Students will receive an "Access+ 100" dining plan (see for more information here). With the Access+ 100 Dining Plan, you get all access to our residential dining facilities on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. Enjoy great food and community at Dining Commons, Lakeside and The Galley, and the ability to take a to-go meal out of the residential dining facilities. There is no limit to how many times you can enter the residential dining halls. This plan provides 100 Dining Dollars that can be used at retail dining locations such as Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, GUS Mart, Southern Café and more.
*Calendar Year students are not eligible for ISEP housing and meal benefits over the summer break.
Course Description
Campus Note
ISEP students will all be housed on the Statesboro campus, but can take courses on either the Armstrong-Savannah or Statesboro campus. When searching for courses, make sure to only search for those two campuses for course location. Students are strongly recommended to take as many courses on one campus as possible, as the two campuses are a one hour bus-drive apart.
Credits Earned
Students who complete the program in good standing can expect to earn 12-15 US credits. Students typically enroll in 4-5 courses per term. A term runs for about 19 weeks. To determine how these credits convert at your home institution, please contact your home university coordinator.
If you use financial assistance, please speak with your home coordinator to understand your academic obligations and the requirements for using financial assistance.

How to search for courses:
To search for courses, please utilize the course schedule search tool.
Select the desired semester of study, or the most recent semester available.
Ensure that under "Campus(es)" you only select Statesboro and/or Armstrong-Savannah campuses. You are allowed to take courses on either campus, but they are a one-hour drive apart. Take careful note of this when searching for and selecting courses.
You can search the course catalog by selecting different fields of study in the "Subject" drop-down menu.
When you select the title of a course, a drop-down will appear with the course description, credit hours, and any pre-requisite courses needed to take the course.
Select the "back" button to go back to the full search bar.
Academic limitations:
Only undergraduate programs are available to ISEP students.
Due to high-class enrollments, students studying criminology/criminal justice, psychology, and business programs should be flexible and provide plenty of class options.
We have some majors only offered in Statesboro, and typically more options there: Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, and undergraduate Business are only offered in Statesboro.
Some education coursework is available but limited for international students.
